Owner/Manager
Tyler Robertson
In the industry since 2002
Tyler is a red seal fire sprinkler system installer, specializing in installation, service and inspecting water based fire protection systems.
He is also factory trained & certified on foam systems, pressurized hand-portable and wheeled fire extinguishing units.
He is experienced in installations of water based fire protection systems in commercial, residential and industrial settings.
As required, he carries City of Brandon licenses for the testing, inspecting and repair of cross connection and backflow prevention devices and water based fire protection systems.
Tyler spent 3 years as the Western Regional Manager in local fire protection, before branching out to help start a local business: Westman Fire Protection.

Fire Sprinker Manager
Tyler Judd
In the industry since 2010
Tyler Graduated from Red River College in 2015 as a Red Seal Journeyman, achieving his AWWA backflow inspection and testing certification.
Tyler brings a wealth of experience to our team, having worked installing all new and retrofit sprinkler systems, performing inspections, and installing/inspecting diesel and electric powered fire pumps. He has worked with a variety of systems including foam, pre-action, deluge, and dry pipe suppression systems.
His extensive background in running, overseeing, and installing major sprinkler projects makes him a valuable leader and foreman of our crew.

Fire Alarm Manager
Steven Scott
In the industry since 2016
Steven brings an advantageous combination of skills to our team, with his Red Seal Journeyman certification as an Electrician paired with CFAA Accredited Fire Alarm Technician. He is also certified in NFPA 10 (Standard for Portable Fire Extinguishers) and NFPA 96 (Standard for Ventilation Control and Fire Protection of Commercial Cooking Operations)
He has worked on a wide variety of construction projects in residential, commercial settings, as well as designing, programming, and inspecting fire alarm systems.

Suppression Supervisor
Morgan Roach
We’re excited to welcome Morgan Roach to the Westman Fire Protection team as our new Suppression Supervisor. A valued addition to our growing division, Morgan brings a strong work ethic, a safety-first mindset, and a focus on precision—qualities that align perfectly with our standards across the Westman Fire Protection team.
As Suppression Supervisor, Morgan will play a key role in overseeing the planning and execution of fire suppression system installations on both residential and commercial projects. His leadership will support our continued goal of delivering code-compliant, high-performance systems that protect our builds—and more importantly, the people in them.
Morgan is already making an impact on-site, and we’re looking forward to the expertise and energy he brings to the job every day. Welcome aboard!

Sales & Estimating Manager
James Bryden
In the industry since 2000
James started his apprenticeship in 1996 and received his journeyperson certification as Top Apprentice in the trade for the year 2000. Starting with the service & small contracts side of the business, he would later move on to the construction side of the business, taking care of larger builds such as the Canad Inns Brandon.
It was while working on the Canad Inns hotel in 2004 that he met his future wife Stacey and convinced her to move to Winnipeg as he started a new chapter in his career by moving into the office. Close ties to Brandon brought James and Stacey back to Brandon in 2006.
Over the last 15 years in the office James has advanced his knowledge of the industry and kept up to date on the latest technology through in-person and virtual training on everything from fire codes, foam systems, hydraulic design, and clean agent extinguishing systems. There is always something to learn!
His favourite part of the job is working with people to understand the problem and find a solution that works.

Office Administrator
Darlene Croker
In the industry since 1996
Darlene was born and raised in Brandon Manitoba, and moved to Alberta in 1996. She spent 7 years as an insurance broker, and then 12 years as the Senior Administrator of the County of Stettler. During this time she oversaw public works, agriculture services, sewer & water, and assisted with health and safety.
Darlene moved back to Manitoba to be closer to her 5 children and grandkids, now enjoying life at Oak Lake Beach keeping busy with sewing, knitting, crochet, and renovations.
